Niko von der Lühe

Profile

For more than 20 years now, I have worked as an organizational consultant, coach and clarification facilitator, largely in intercultural contexts. German and international government and non-government organizations such as the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ – Society for International Cooperation), Welthungerhilfe (World Hunger Relief Coalition), UN Food and Agriculture organization, and the European Union are among my clients. They are joined by German and transborder enterprises, including Hewlett Packard, KTBL (Association for Technology and Structures in Agriculture), German Federal Railways, and institutions of higher education – including the University of Hohenheim (near Stuttgart), College of Education at Ludwigsburg, and Helwan University (Cairo).

As a “third culture kid” – born in Angola and having grown up in a number of countries – I have experienced from earliest childhood the conflicts that can arise from differing cultural backgrounds. I have a doctorate in agricultural sociology and am fully trained as a systemic consultant for organizations and enterprises (Eurosysteam, Heidelberg). Over and above that, I have completed training with Dr. Christoph Thomann to become a certified clarification consultant. I have participated in many leadership conferences staged by the Tavistock Institute in London, GB (Leicester Conference), as well by the Forum International de l’Innovation Sociale (FIIS), Nice, France.

Among my other courses of advanced training are the building of organizations (Gunthard Weber), transactional analysis (Professio), intercultural communications and cooperation (Intercultural Communication Centre, Winterthur, Switzerland), and Capacity WORKS (GIZ).

I can work with equal proficiency in German, English and French.
